The successful candidate will hold or be willing to undergo SC Clearance The SAP Support Technical Consultant will be part of the client UK SAP Practice and will work as part of a global delivery model to include offshore SAP consultants within Global Delivery Centres mainly in India. Essential / Minimum Criteria:

* Experience with support of SAP Component (SAP NetWeaver) across multiple operating systems and databases to include Unix variants, Windows Server and Oracle RDBMS. This includes troubleshooting, daily checks, issue handling, application of SAP Notes and support pack application.

* SAP technical configuration and system administration expertise across multiple SAP components including both AS-ABAP and AS-Java based systems. This should include experience across SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP PI and SAP Enterprise Portal

* Experience in SAP Database administration (Oracle RDBMS) including tuning, backup and restore

* Experience in using and supporting highly available SAP component implementation (Veritas Cluster Server, RHEL Pacemaker)

* Recognized as a technical specialist in field of expertise and able to handle technical escalations from junior members of the team

* Competent in SAP deployment methodologies and Solution Manager for core systems administration activity and the set-up of Solution Manager Diagnostics. Desirable Criteria:

* Experience of additional SAP Components - SRM, MDM, TREX and Content Server

* Experience of additional SAP RDBMS - MaxDB **Some on-call and out of hours work may be required**
