I am working in partnership with an award winning Digital Transformation client based in Leeds. They are looking for a technical consultant to work as an embedded function within their client delivery team. The role will involve working with Retail, Financial and Healthcare clients, each requiring a unique solution.This role will have a strong focus on working with clients in the financial services industry to define the technical solutions. To do so you will work closely with both technical and non-technical teams alongside capturing the needs and requirements of the client. Due to this role involving heavy client facing responsibilities, travel to client site is required 2-3 days a week. Goes without saying all travel and hotel expenses are covered.In terms of requirements, the ideal candidate would be able to offer a range of skills. However rather than just regurgitate the Job description, the client has highlighted to me some key skills they are looking for.Java Software Development/Engineering Background - Although this role is primarily consultant focused, experience in Java would be beneficial.Experience - A strong background in the financial industry (Fintech, Pension, Insurance, wealth management or asset management).Stakeholder Management - Due to this organisation working on projects on various scales, you will be required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Agile background - Working with an Agile methodology aids the delivery of a successful solution. Therefore experience working in an Agile environment is an essential requirement for the role. Any Agile related certifications/qualification would be a plus, but not essential.Communication - The ability to relay information to technical and non-technical stakeholders within the business is essential.
