Kew Gardens, Richmond

First impressions count. We are one of the world's leading botanic gardens, we are at the forefront of plant and fungal science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a major visitor attraction. Our visitors travel in their thousands to visit Kew ever year, and it is the visitor user experience we now seek to improve through our technology and IT advancements.

We are currently working on two major technological programmes, which aim to enhance and improve the visiting experience at Kew, and as IT Transformation Business Analyst, you will play a key role in their successful delivery. You will be responsible for establishing and developing business requirements for multiple projects in technology strategy and change initiatives and you will work alongside the business and suppliers to deliver change.

More details

We want a world where plants and fungi are understood, valued and conserved - because our lives depend on them.

We use the power of our science and the rich diversity of our gardens and collections to provide knowledge, inspiration and understanding of why plants and fungi matter to everyone.

Reporting to the Head of IT Transformation, you will work within a small team of IT project delivery professionals, as well as with other business analysts, to develop common standards for process mapping and requirements documentation, facilitating Kew's improvement through shared experiences and lessons learned.

Confident in the use of business analysis methods, such as BPMN2.0 modelling, you will gain an expert understanding of Kew's business practices and processes and create proposals for strategic and operational improvements. You will conduct requirements analysis, preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement systems, and establish test plans, performing user acceptance testing.

Experienced in business analysis on IT projects, you will have worked on customer journey mapping, the entire SDLC and on large-scale programmes within a Prince2/MSP environment, which bring about procedural or transformational business change.

We offer a fantastic range of benefits including a broad range of Learning and Development opportunities, with access to the Civil Service training curriculum, generous annual leave entitlement for new starters, family friendly policies, a choice of competitive pensions and flexible benefits scheme.
