A Principal Hardware Engineer and Senior Hardware Engineer is needed to join a leading technology company based in Newcastle. You will be working on leading edge technology throughout the full product lifecyle developing the hardware from concept through to final testing and production. As their Principal Hardware Engineer you will be working closely with the Software team and other engineering disciplines to ensure the highest quality of engineering in line with their current and future projects. You will also be working closely with the sales and marketing teams to define product specifications and documentation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company who truly invest in their employees and offer an excellent benefits package alongside.Some of the core skills for this role include:- Creating, maintaining and applying strong processes to assure quality of hardware design and development Hardware design. Ideally at least one of:Power electronics: motor inverters design and development, IGBT and MOSFETs and gate driver design ORDigital and Analogue electronics: microcontrollers, signal acquisition and conditioning, low power SMPS, logic circuits and similarHardware design and documentationHardware safetyCircuit design and analysis, testing and debuggingDesirable experience and skills include :Safety Critical StandardsEMCPCB Layout/DesignAnalysis skills: FMEA, FTA, tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, etc.I appreciate you may not have all the skills listed however if you think you would be suitable for this role please do get in touch!
