A large innovative business that enjoys developing staff and getting the best for the business is looking for a full-time IT Systems Administrator. They are a recognised employer of choice within the City of Brighton and are looking for someone with experience of Linux for a 12-month contract.As an IT Systems Administrator, your responsibilities will include: Being technically and tactically involved in the wide-ranging operational and development activities of IT Services.Contributing to the day-to-day operation and service improvement of central, enterprise-level IT services.
Contributing to projects, sometimes as technical lead, in the development of new services and their associated infrastructure.To be a successful IT Systems Administrator, you will have the following skills and experiences: Strong documentation and communication skills.
Significant practical experience in an operations and development role within IT.
To be degree educated or equivalent.
In-depth technical knowledge of Linux systems administration.
Experience of one or more of the following: configuration management, automation and scripting (Ansible, Git, Bash and Perl), web services (Apache, Tomcat), Hosting (Azure, AWS) or integration (LDAP, SMTP, RADIUS).
