The University of Reading uses a range of digital technologies to support teaching and learning. The systems which support technology enhanced learning (TEL) are a core part of the University's IT provision. This new post offers an exciting opportunity for a TEL Applications Manager to work as part of a professional and dynamic support team: (i)    providing specialist support for the development and management of the University's online learning environment and other technology enhanced learning applications (ii)    managing the provision of end user support for these applications (both staff and students).  The role requires a combination of IT skills and applications knowledge, with customer service skills, and the ability to apply these within an educational organisation. The post-holder will work closely with IT staff, particularly those responsible for TEL system administration and the IT Service Desk. With over 4000 academic and support staff, the University of Reading is one of Berkshire's biggest employers, with attractive employment benefits. You will have: experience in administration and management of technologies, ideally in technologies used to support teaching and learning a track record of problem solving and providing technology support at an advanced level ability to supervise and co-ordinate others an interest and enthusiasm in the use of technologies to support learning a friendly, confident and professional attitude Closing date: 02/08/2019
