Data Architect (AWS Hortonworks Machine Learning). FTSE 250 trading firm is seeking a senior Data Architect to take ownership of a large data transformation from an on premise solution to the Cloud (AWS). You'll focus on building a common and structured approach to the company's data; assessing how data is stored, shared, accessed, transferred and consumed and recommending a modern Cloud based platform identifying and using the latest technologies / methodologies. You'll communicate your vision across the organisation and coach other Data Architects to achieve the mission.

You will be working in a professional yet informal atmosphere in impressive, City based offices with breakout areas and a range of onsite facilities.

Requirements:

*Significant knowledge of Big Data, AWS and Hortonworks

*Must have experience on re-platforming to the cloud; AWS - taking a pilot / POC from concept to production

*Good knowledge of data streaming / messaging technology, ideally Kafka

*Collaborative team member with excellent communication skills including stakeholder management and technical leadership (of other Architects)

*Good knowledge of Machine Learning techniques

*Experience of Data Management (Governance, Data Modelling)
