As a Schlumberger Software Engineer you'll have responsibility throughout the full development cycle. You'll apply your skills to design, develop, and test software. Whether you're creating new products in our transformational programs or enhancing existing ones, you'll have the opportunity to listen to what each customer needs and bring all the elements together to provide solutions. You will join a team of software experts with a variety of core competencies such as Internet of things (IoT), user experience (UX), data analytics, and web and mobile front-end development. Keeping pace with and applying the latest digital technology trends in the oil and gas industry will be your main focus.

Job Specification:

At Schlumberger Leeds, UK, a graduate software developer is required to strengthen the web application development team. The focus of this team is the delivery of user assistance to support our commercial web-based solutions for the energy sector.

This work requires the successful applicant to have the flexibility to work across a broad technology stack, as well as being able to shape and influence the delivered solutions.

The web application development team works closely with product and service teams in Leeds and from the wider Schlumberger organization, as well as engaging with external groups on various aspects.

To be successful the applicant must be comfortable working in a team environment, be able to demonstrate strong initiative, as well as proactively collaborating with other groups.

Responsibilities:

You will join the existing team to help design and develop user assistance products. You will help with the design, creation and maintainence of our cloud based solutions, developing and testing code, and providing operational support for our products. You will share expertise via internal knowledge sharing channels and expand your informal network throughout the organization. You will receive training and support to help you develop in your career.

Qualifications:

Bachelors/Masters in Computer science/Software engineering or related discipline.
