About the role:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be working across teams helping them provision their infrastructure in AWS using our Terraform modules. We are looking for someone who can iterate on these modules to add flexibility, simplify them and keep them up-to-date with latest Terraform changes.

You'll have a wide understanding and experience of AWS's services and can suggest & help support their use across the company. We pride ourselves on being a great place to learn and experience the latest systems engineering and cloud technologies, so you'll pioneer the spiking of new technology and lead their adoption throughout the company.

Is happy to help out in other Engineering areas on occasion (e.g. happy to learn some Data Engineering if the need arises)

What you'll be doing:

Collaborating and working with our Systems Engineers to implement and roll-out platform improvements to our customer's infrastructure.

Implements thorough code reviews and helps others to improve the quality of their work.

identify and suggest areas of future work for themselves or their teams.

Propose and lead company-wide improvements to our infrastructure.

Mentor junior engineers via pairing, design review and code review.

Participate in technical product choices and evaluations and ensure that the implications of taking on technical debt are understood by the team when required and take initiative in managing tech debt and improving code quality across the team's codebases.
