BE THE TRUSTED EXPERT WITHIN A WORLD-CLASS DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT
Why us, why now?
This is an unprecedented time for digital, data and technology in the UK government. Countries like the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are modelling their digital transformation on ours. Why? Because we're putting user needs at the heart of digital development to make government work better for everyone. We're 17,000 colleagues across government, and we're scaling up nationwide. Our new cloud model is giving us unparalleled agility and bravery to ensure government is equipped and inspired to deliver real, meaningful change. The potential to shape our society's future is enormous - and we want you to be part of it.
About the role
As our SharePoint Support Analyst, you'll be the in-house expert on this collaborative platform. You'll support the full project delivery lifecycle, from design to implementation. And you'll be responsible for the related technical documentation, production of build and transition documentation. Alongside our Technical and Solution Architects, you'll assess needs and translate them into realistic, measurable requirements. You'll be responsible for upgrading and migration to Office 365, topology services, and backup and restore. As well as looking after security, data and global configurations, you'll monitor the overall health of all SharePoint farms, proactively mitigating issues. You'll maintain and implement all aspects of SharePoint application management, from Office SharePoint Server Shared Services, to Search Administration, Workflow Management and External Service Connections.
What we're looking for
You hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, and you're experienced with SharePoint site construction, configuration and migration. You're knowledgeable in Office 365 Administration, PowerShell scripting, PowerApps, and Workflows (MS Flow or SharePoint Designer). Crucially, you're great at teamwork and relationship building across organisations, and you bring documentation creation and technical writing skills.
Help shape a truly digital government
If you're excited by an ever-evolving technological landscape and a fast-moving digital change agenda, this is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills to do what matters. Here, you'll be helping us respond to the changing needs and expectations of millions of people, delivering services that are simpler, faster and easier to use. And in return, you'll enjoy the fantastic range of benefits the Civil Service has to offer.
