Up to £48,000We are currently recruiting for a Programme Management Office Manager to join our large public sector client in Coventry to enable the smooth running of the project by supporting the programme manager through the operation of project management processes, and the co-ordination of business management actions and activities on their behalf.The role of the PMO Manager covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the programme objectives.You'll work in a team led by the Programme Manager comprising a Service Designer, Solutions Architect and a Project Support Officer to coordinate and drive transformation projects, continuous improvement, technical enhancement, procurements and range of other improvements to the service.Main Responsibilities:Lead the PMO to support the project. Establish a robust governance structure and cycle to accommodate agile working, policy interface and external dependencies.Champion the use of best practice project management standards and processes, e.g. for risks and issues and also for stakeholder management.Develop and agree budgets for projects and/or programmes and forecast actual costs against them. Oversee ongoing monitoring and managing of programme finances.Maintain supply chains for managed service resources across the service, monitor utilisation, spend and efficiency to make recommendations to drive successful project deliveryManage the Programme road map, risk register, dependency map and support the Programme Manager in the identification, recruitment, development, deployment and reassignment of resources throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure appropriate governance is in place and support the management of external reviews as well as the implementation of action points arising.Establish and operate project controls on behalf of the Programme Manager, reporting on project progress and status to appropriate bodies. Identify common capabilities and opportunities for linking up, re-using and sharing of methods and resources between projects and programmes. Ensure learning from experience is disseminated across the organisation.Identify, develop and share best practice project management processes, tools and templates. Provide direction and guidance to the project team.
