Lead C# / Java Back-End Engineer - Greenfield Trading FinTech

The successful hire will work with other engineers and product owners to design, build and deploy a greenfield real-time multi-asset globally-distributed trading platform which aims to revolutionise buy-side trading. You will be required to build and lead the Back-End Software Chapter and become a member of the Engineering Leadership Team that is responsible for the engineering strategy, architecture, standards and delivery of the product roadmap. You will take ownership and lead the development of all Server-Side functionality with an emphasis on a robust, responsive, user interface cloud-based architecture. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building robust back-end systems, a personal interest in contributing to product development, and will enjoy sharing knowledge in a collaborative manner while working closely with other developers, BA and product teams.RequirementsHands-on Software Engineering Lead with real-time and highly distributed Trading Platforms build expertise.Strong primary programming experience in C# .Net but with flexibility to work with JavaScript, Java and Python as required depending on best-fit for the task-at-hand.Commercial experience with Message-oriented middleware software such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus and real-time streaming technology such as Socket.IO or SingalR strongly preferred. SQL and RDBMS experience.Experience with Restful API's, Microservices architecture, unit and integration testing and CI/CD. DevOps Tooling and Container / Orchestration technology such as Docker, Kubernetes and Azure DevOps. Familiar with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or GCP.Experienced in agile development methodologies including agile coaching, pair programming, TDD and building a high impact and velocity engineering cultureBackground in front office electronic trading systems covering functionality such as order management / execution and pricing and risk management ideally gained in a Tier-1 Investment Bank, Asset / Wealth Manager or Hedge Fund.This is an outstanding opportunity to design and build a Multi-Asset Trading Platform from scratch while recruiting and leading a world-class Back-end team.
