One of the United Kingdom's leading players within the Energy sector is seeking a Lead Energy Engineer to play an integral role in an exciting new subsidiary focusing on enabling their customers to serve their energy requirements in a sustainable, smarter and more cost effective manner. This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting, start-up business with the backing of a large, corporate organisation.Scope of workAs Lead Energy Engineer, you will play an integral role in visiting customer sites and identifying areas where they're able to utilise power consumption flexibility, working with them and using detailed questioning to fully understand their requirements. After collating data during the audit, you will carry out a feasibility study, analysing the data using Excel modelling before devising tailored solutions to advise customers as to where they can be flexible with their energy requirements in order to minimise cost and maximise profit.It is important that as Lead Energy Engineer, you're able to develop quality business relationships with the customer, becoming a trusted advisor when presenting where they're able to make changes to process in order to make improvements, using technical data compiled to support your solution. Following approval of works to go ahead, as Lead Energy Engineer you will oversee the installation of appropriate energy storage or remote-controlled equipment to generate agreed savings.The role is based from their Central London office and will require occasional travel to sites across the United Kingdom.You will:Be a HND/Degree-qualified engineer (ideally electrical, but mechanical would be considered) with proven expertise within an energy-related field.Experienced in project delivery involving site audits and feasibility studies through to construction, commissioning and handover.Be able to articulate an understanding of energy efficiencyBe able to work from their Central London officeBe comfortable travelling to sites across the United Kingdom and Ireland as, and when, required.The companyThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a start-up subsidiary backed by a global corporate business providing the support and infrastructure to excel within the sustainable energy sector.
