Network Security ConsultantEdinburgh (Customer Site) + Office (Welwyn/Reading)/Remote Working (UK)Start Date: ASAP My Client, a major International telecoms and network company, are currently looking for a hands-on Security Consultant to work as a consultant and subject matter expert within the wider Cyber Defence team. The ideal candidate will have proven technical skills, developed consulting expertise and be able to lead a project from both these perspectives. ~50% customer sites, ~50% remote. HQ is in Edinburgh and DCs are in Welwyn/London/South East. These are estimates and will require some flexibility to travel depending on where activities are taking place As the Security Consultant your main responsibilities will include (But are not limited to): Delivery of security related projects from initial high and low level design through build, test and migration phasesRegular attendance on site to facilitate project definition and delivery activitiesSME support to other members of the project teamPreparation of network and security infrastructure documentation using appropriate tools (e.g. MS Visio)Deployment and test of new network and security infrastructure components To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong amount of the following: Recent, hands-on experience designing, building & documenting security solutions using the following technologiesNetskope SWG or ZscalerPalo Alto including Threat ProtectionCisco ASA including AnyConnectGRE & IPSEC tunnellingProxyingSD-WANExperience working within large corporate grade network deployments including hands-on familiarity with routers, switches, MPLS, etc.Excellent troubleshooting skills (technical and non-technical)Experience participating in network & system security projects to provide:Business requirements analysis and support for Solutions ArchitectsProduction of detailed infrastructure designs including physical and virtual aspects of security components Requirements (Desired, not essential) SkyboxMcAfeeKerberosLDAPSaaS
