Web Ops Engineer

This is your role as our Web Ops Engineer
Digital Services within NICE is responsible for delivering and improving all NICE's digital services and applications. Our strategy is to deliver services that meet our users' needs.

We're a 50 strong department but we work in small agile teams of developers, designers, business analysts and others. We build a minimum viable product, then measure and iterate. We're constantly improving our services to make them simpler, clearer and faster for our 2 million users a month.

We solve challenging problems with interesting technology but it's not all about the tech. We encourage personal development, both technically and professionally. We do this through training, conferences, our library, through "air and share" sessions within the team and communities of practice.

As a Web Operations Engineer at NICE you'll: Build and configure new secure server platforms and the automated tooling to do so. Maintain existing infrastructure and suggest improvements. Have a good knowledge of modern web protocols and security standards. You'll be a continual learner, keeping up to date with modern infrastructure tools and techniques. Contribute to the WebOps community of practise by sharing knowledge and skills.

We are looking for passionate, experienced and self-motivated system administrator's to fulfil our web operation vacancy. You must care about building, running and improving infrastructure systems. You'll collaborate with delivery teams to provide infrastructure and operational support for new and existing digital services. We expect you to be familiar with cloud infrastructure providers, configuration management techniques, as well as working practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment.
We'll give you the opportunity to develop yourself technically and professionally.

For the role it is essential that you have: Experience with cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS, Azure or similar Experience using configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef Experience debugging a complex, multi-server service in a high availability environment Administering common databases like MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, RavenDB Familiarity with network protocols - TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, etc An understanding of application deployment strategies, continuous integration and version control Operational management of Window servers, delivering a complex web application stack
For the role it is desirable that you have: Operational management of Linux servers, delivering a complex web application stack. Knowledge of container orchestration systems and minimalist operating systems. Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions.
