Production Engineering Manager

Andover, Hampshire

£40,000 - £50,000 + Pension + Holiday + Benefits + ProgressionExcellent opportunity for someone from an engineering/ production/ manufacturing background experienced with lean manufacturing methods and six sigma to join a fast growing company in an important senior management position that allows you to develop with the company.This company is a market leader in manufacturing bespoke LED systems used within laboratories. Due to continued growth and the aim to constantly improve and develop their internal processes they are looking to add a forward thinking engineer to their team.In this role you will be part of the senior management team, bringing increased structure to the manufacturing department. You will be tasked with managing department resources to support in the introduction of new products and provide continuous improvement for the current production line.The ideal candidate will be six sigma qualified to either green or black level and also have experience with lean manufacturing methods, such as Kaizen, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), or line balancing. You will also have a good engineering background in a production, manufacturing industry, ideally automation. Any previous experience with light electrical manufacturing would be beneficial but not required.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company that have expanded by over 20% year on year in an exciting and varied role that can provide the next step in your career and bridge the gap to more senior roles in the future.The Role:

*Monday - Friday, 40 hour week

*Part of the senior management team

*Providing solid structure by leading manufacturing department

*Support in the introduction of new products and improve current production processesThe Person:

*Six sigma qualified (green or black belt)

*Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods

*Engineering background within a production or manufacturing industry

*Ideally has experience in automation processes

*Any previous experience in light electrical manufacturing would be beneficial but not required
