Security Architect London£500 per day6 months initial contract with the view to extend (12 mths+)

I have an urgent requirement for a Security Architect to join a market leading organisation on a 6-month initial contract. You should have experience of designing and developing enterprise cyber security solutions to mitigate cyber threats and vulnerability attacks.

Key Accountabilities Being able to quickly understand enterprise level architecture security threats, risks and exposures.Analysis and monitoring of cyber security threats and vulnerabilities along with recommended / actions to mitigate or reduce the risks.Liaise with internal teams to coordinate corrective or preventative actions where necessary.Review and propose improvements for Qualys and vulnerability scanning.Review and propose improvements to software patching schedule ensuring protection and compliance of critical assets.Be able to work with cross functional application and infrastructure teams to provide the best solution to meet the project needs.Carry out risk assessment and mapping of critical infrastructures technical vulnerabilities exposure and risksAbility to determine cyber threat level by investigating historic and active vulnerabilities.Provide technical design recommendations with a focus on improving the customer risk position and security maturity.Solution scoping - including defining the technical/service components, estimating the architectural and engineering effort and working with the project manager to ensure these are appropriately represented in the relevant scoping document.Technical coordination/management - e.g. directing engineers to build/test/etc the solution in line with the design/scope and troubleshoot/resolve technical issues. Key skillsIT and Security Governance, Security Risk threat assessment and vulnerability management ideally using QualysBe able to present solutions to senior management and customers.Be able to liaise with internal teams to confirm and validate technical proposals.Knowledge of industry technologies and software emerging threats / vulnerabilities.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Knowledge and use of industry security toolsets including Qualys and SkyboxKnowledge of NIST and other Cyber Security FrameworkVulnerability management skills to review critical infrastructure and security vulnerabilitiesUnderstanding of SIEM solutionsGood communication skills - written & oral. Able to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Appreciation of scope management and exposure to customer-supplier commercials - including RAID identification, articulation & management.Experience in working in a matrix managed project environment.Experience in working for an IT supplier to deliver projects to a customer.

Others Design: Designs small or medium scale solutions (or parts of larger solutions) which need minimal review following peer review.Cost and risk. Defines the approach to small/medium scale solution development and acceptance testing, ensuring an acceptable cost structure.Requirements and design.
