Plan, control, and co-ordinate the delivery of Business As Usual engineering and construction projects to meet required time, cost, quality, value, risk and safety parameters

Provide support and assistance to the Senior Project Manager in the planning, control and co-ordination of Major Capital Expenditure engineering and construction projects (above £5m).

Manage communication with project stakeholders, customers, suppliers and contractors. Maintain teamwork. Essential Experience

·8+ Years' experience in Data Centre or mission critical projects environments.

·Must have either Data Centre background with experience in Critical Environments.

·Technical and Project Management competence demonstrated by work experience and/or qualifications.

·Working within a team.

·Excellent communication.

·Pro-active approach.

·Commercial Awareness. Key TasksMaster Programme - In conjunction with the Head of Project Management and Senior Project Manager assist with the development of a Master Programme for BAU project work.Due Diligence - In conjunction with the Senior Project Manager assist with organising and/or carrying out due diligence surveys.Project Brief - Work with in-house and/or external engineers and the Customer Service Delivery Team to develop a detailed project brief covering all aspects of the works.Project Execution Plan - Comply with all policies and procedures in connection with project delivery including administration of Access Requests, approvals and permits to work.Resource - Recognise the need for any additional resources (internal/external) in connection with the implementation of a project. Assist with the organisation and procurement of resource.Project Programme - Develop a detailed project programme, for each BAU project and monitor progress. Escalate any issues.Cost Monitoring - In conjunction with in-house and/or external cost managers, monitor the development of a detailed project budget. Participate in seeking funding approval as required. Monitor expenditure against budget.Design Management - Engage with in-house and/or external design teams and monitor the development of designs. Seek authorisation of design proposals at key work stages. Review and challenge the design as required.Procurement - Assist with procuring design teams, plant & equipment, and contractors. Check tender documentation issued for completeness. Administer tender clarifications. Assist with tender evaluations and recommendations.Risk Management - Prepare and maintain a project risk register.Change Control - Implement a formal change control process for any change to time, cost, specification or scope. Seek approval for the change prior to implementation. Escalate any issues.Contract Administration - Administer the Contract in accordance with the terms and conditions. Escalate any issues.Testing & Commissioning- In conjunction with in-house and/or external engineers develop a Testing & Commissioning plan. Organise attendances at testing and commissioning activities, record defects/anomalies, and ensure matters are resolved.
