Senior Systems Engineer - Design Assurance

Would you like the chance to join an exciting engineering team? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Systems Engineer - Design Assurance at our site in Scotstoun or Filton.

As a Senior Systems Engineer - Design Assurance, you will implement engineering processes in support of the Mandated System Reviews and the associated checklists, System Maturity and internal feeder reviews required for the Hunter Class Frigate Program. The role will also be responsible for the monitoring of engineering output delivery.

To be successful in this role, communication is key and the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.

In return, this role will provide you with the opportunity to influence the delivery of the system engineering outputs relating to design assurance and work closely with senior management and influential stakeholders.

 

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Systems Engineer - Design Assurance

will involve:

The management and delivery of System Engineering outputs relating to design assurance such as measurement of product maturity, and audit of outputs and the preparation for and conduct of design reviews and audits.

The implementation of the Engineering processes in support of the Mandated System Reviews and the associated checklists, System Maturity and internal feeder reviews required for the Hunter Class Frigate Program

 

Your skills and qualifications:

Excellent communication and diplomacy skills; must understand detailed technical instructions and be able to communicate complex technical information to others

Ability to develop effective partnerships with a variety of stakeholders

A good understanding of systems engineering methodologies and processes

A good understanding of data maturity and information relationships and the ability to apply them pragmatically.

Naval Ships Engineering experience would be desirable
