This firm work across the private and public sectors, delivering projects from conception to completion in the commercial, residential, healthcare, education, government, retail and leisure sectors.This company are renowned for supporting their staff through ongoing training and professional development - an ideal place for up and coming Assistant Cost Consultant to gain the necessary experience to fast track their career. Initially, the successful AQS will be working within an experienced team who are responsible for delivering the cost management services on the restoration and renewal of the Palace of West Minster. The programme of works will consist of M&E repair/restoration work to make sure that the Palace remains habitable and a safe place to work. Requirements for this Assistant Cost Consultant position: Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor (cost manager) with relevant experience in Mechanical and Electrical Services Quantity SurveyingMust have a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or a relevant degree.Proven ability to communicate confidently with clients, contractors and consultantsPrevious experience working for a construction consultancy or an end client.Experience working on heritage/historic projects will be advantageousIt will be advantageous if you are a member of MIET, MCIBSE or MIMechE. Remuneration for this Assistant Cost Consultant position: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)Competitive benefits package.
