The Oxford University Big Data Institute (BDI) aims to develop, evaluate, and deploy new methods for acquiring and analysing health data. The clinical informatics group within the BDI are developing new technologies and applying them to the management and analysis of clinical, laboratory, and imaging data from hospitals and research centres.

The group is expanding, and we are looking for software engineers, data engineers, computer scientists, or data scientists to join the team. We can offer opportunities to make a substantial contribution to the state of the art in clinical informatics, to participate in major, strategic national programmes, and to work with world-leading research groups.

Applications are invited from anyone with a degree in a relevant discipline - such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, or software engineering - with good programming skills and an excellent understanding of data models, structures, and formats.

The posts are funded for 3 years in the first instance. They are funded as full-time positions, but we are happy to consider part-time appointments.

This is a Grade 8 position, however If no suitable applicant is forthcoming at Grade 8, an appointment at Grade 7 (£32,236 - £39,609 p.a.) with appropriate adjustment of duties may be considered.
