Security Operations Manager (CISSP/ CEH) - Coventry - Initial 3 to 6-month contract Our client in the utilities industry requires a Security Operations Manager (CISSP/ CEH) to join their team based in Coventry on an initial 3 to 6-month contract.

The role:

This role will involve:Planning, directing and controlling the functions and operations of the Managed Security Services, Security Operations Centre (SOC).Managing the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) Service Providers.Monitoring, and analysing security events to protect the client's information and assets from unauthorised access, misuse, modification or destruction.Escalating incidents and alerts to appropriate business units for validation/investigation.Ensuring that regulatory compliance, governing information security and industry best practices are adhered to.Proactively planning cyber incidents

Key Skills

The ideal candidate will have:Experience of managing outsourced and in-house SOC services for quality performance and fulfilment of Service Level Agreements (SLA)The ability to develop, maintain, and submit SOC compliance reports.Experience of monitoring, identifying and resolving security events to detect threats through analysis, investigations and prioritisation of events based on risk/exposureHands-on experience of using SIEM technologies and IDS/AV consoles to perform analysisA solid understanding of general cyber security conceptsExperience of managing a SOC

Qualifications

You should have:At least 5 years' Cyber Security experienceA Security+, CISSP, CEH GCIH, GCIA certification or equivalentMSS SOC Management experiencePrevious security analyst experienceBS/BA degree or equivalent combination of related work experience.Prior Security Engineering experience

Background Screening:

You should be willing to undergo any screening checks carried out by the client. Once on site, you will need to undergo adhoc alcohol and drugs tests
