VMWare Migration Engineer - Glasgow - 6 Month Contract

My Glasgow based client are currently seeking a driven and diligent IT professional to join them to assist with a migration project on an initial 6-month contract.

This position will see you assist with migration of all current applications onto a new infrastructure. This role will be focussed heavily within VMWare technologies and the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing changes into different environments and will take ownership for all IT hardware and software.

This role will require someone with a 'can do' attitude and a hands-on approach. In order to be considered for this exciting position, you will need extensive experience in:Strong knowledge of VMWare TechnologiesExperience in VMWare/data centre migrationsAble to perform detailed technical analysis and write technical and project documentationUnderstanding of a VMware based infrastructure stack (Compute/Network/Storage) layersExperience with v2v/p2v migrations into VMware based environment
