Job DescriptionIlluminate Technologies accelerates informed decisions with leading edge data analytic capabilities processing security event information in terabit scale telecommunications networks. We provide innovative solutions for public safety, cyber threat detection and legal compliance for critical network infrastructure. Our solutions address network cyber security requirements in 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile infrastructure, virtualized network infrastructure and carrier IP networks. We are looking for a software developer with strong Python skills to create solutions in a highly collaborative environment. You will be working in a team with a broad range of skills to enable data analytics capabilities in an ever-changing telecom and broadband communication environment. Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) and 5G are creating the next leap forward in innovation and once deployed will be around for a very long time. This is a very exciting time of change. The position is open to individuals with more than 3 years' relevant experience. PLEASE NOTE: You must have the unrestricted right to live and work in the UK. In order to obtain potential HMG security clearance with no exclusions, candidates should ideally be a British Citizen. Must Be motivated, goal oriented and able to take ownership of their responsibilities. Hold honours degree (or above) in a relevant discipline (including: Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronics or Physics) Be highly proficient in Python Have working knowledge of development/deployment of Linux (CentOS/Redhat) systems, OS configuration, OS security, platform release processes, package management and scripting, etc. Be able to collaborate and communicate effectively with the team both verbally and in writing Useful Working knowledge of databases (e.g. MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc) Background in the following programming languages: C++, Javascript or Java Knowledge of IP based communications, mobile networks and SDN/NFV Familiarity with OpenStack, Open vSwitch, OpenFlow and P4 Apply
