The requirement is for an Applications Developer/Software Engineer to create applications that works seamlessly with in-house designed hardware to produce reliable and extremely capable products that have the great responsibility of moving scenery and people around in front of thousands of fans at concerts and often millions on the television.
Job Role Responsibilities
Ownership of the 'ground up' design and architecture of applications softwareRequirements capture, modelling, rapid prototyping of featuresDecomposition of designs in to structured modules/functions ready for implementation.Graphic design of contemporary and intuitive GUIsImplementation in C++, C# or other appropriate languageUnit, integration and system testing; development and execution of test plansEnsure quality of software by use of Code Review, Static Analysis, Unit Test etc.Key Requirements
Exposure to (ANSI) C++ application development for Windows (Visual Studio)Practical graphic design experience for GUI; must have 'designer's eye' for detail and be confident working with graphics packages such as Photoshop, Corel etc.Knowledge of full software lifecycle from requirements capture through design, implementation and all levels of testingAbility to work independently on assigned tasks and with others to ensure the rapid and co-ordinated development of new productsDesirable Skills
Cross platform development using Windows, Linux, Mac, iOSFamiliarity with Continuous Integration and Agile methodsLinux, C#, QT, Visual Basic, JavaScript experience Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP-IP, UDPExperience in 3D visualisation, software algorithms, multi-threadingHuman factors / 'Usability' design for GUI e.g. knowledge of IEC62366, HE75Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification1.On offer is up to £55,000 in salary along with a benefits package which includes and annual bonus scheme...
