Desktop Technical Manager & Service Desk Manager£45,000pa to £50,000pa + Excellent Benefits PackageMicrosoft Technology, Microsoft Suite of Applications including SCCM, Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, SQL, Helpdesk and Service Desk Ticketing Systems and Processes, Asset Management and ITILWest Midlands, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley, StourbridgeEstablished global name renowned for being the largest family-owned facilities management services company in the world are seeking a professional, Desktop & Service Desk Manager who has a proven track record and a solid technical portfolio to take their Desktop Services and UK Service Desk to the next level.As the Desktop Technical Manager, you will ensure our IT Service Desk delivers a high-quality service to end users and that processes are followed to meet business needs, working in close collaboration with the Microsoft Technology Team which owns and sets our policy that is implemented.You will require a technical background coupled with a consultative approach as the role will interface with stakeholders on a day to day basis and Service Improvement and a high-level Service Ethic will be of the utmost importance.Your key responsibilities will involve:Leading the Desktop Management team to continually improve the desktop computing environment in conjunction with the Microsoft Technology TeamEnsuring service management processes are adhered toExperience of Microsoft Azure and MS platform applications to deliver desktop servicesDesktop maintenance and Asset Management knowledgeVoIP and Network platforms/technology experienceExperience of collaborating with 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered servicesBackground in IT Service Management or Support in a large-scale and diverse environment of incidentBeing accountable for IT Stock and Asset ManagementOwning the SCCM current build administration and deploymentManaging the desktop computing environment to ensure that laptops, PC's and other access devices are built and maintained to high standards of performance and securityWorking with the Technical Design team to evolve standards for hardware, software and security in the desktop environment to improve Desktop Performance & QualityBeing the owner of small works, co-ordinating and leading technical activities for small work projectsEducation/QualificationsGood standard of education (degree level)Industry recognised certificationsITIL Foundation or equivalent certificationThis is a great time to join our growing and evolving IT team, overseeing a key function within the IT department.
