Job DescriptionThis Business Analyst and Quality Assurance Engineer role has opened up as the company currently have a small team and need someone who is going to own the start and end of the product lifecycle. You will be encouraged to share ideas regularly, no idea is a bad idea. In this ever-growing business, there will be regular opportunities to see your ideas come to life as fully fledged features. We are keen to involve you in collaborative work to continuously find new and innovative ways to improve the customer journey.ResponsibilitiesWill own the functional aspects of our apps/services, know the functionality and system architecture inside outShape and refine requirements, product backlog of user cases / user stories and business process artefactsBe a leading driver in cross company collaboration, lead the approach to requirements across the companyTranslate requirements and solutions on both a high and low level;Develop and maintain knowledge of core systems and processes;Provide test planning during all stages of development, creation of testing objectives and acceptance criteriaEnsure all use cases are working as expected and other system requirements are met;Testing of both mobile and web applications (both manual and automated);Diagnosing, reporting, tracking and prioritisation of defects;Reproducing bugs reported by users and liaising with other teams to resolve issues and bugs;Maintaining test environments and managing test data.Essential requirements:Excellent communication skills both spoken and written, especially on technical and quality related subjectsExperience writing functional specifications for mobile apps (native iOS and Android apps)Experience of end to end systems, frontend, middleware, backend, API and data;Perseverant and detail-orientedProficient in creating documents working with Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Visio etcExperience in writing and executing functional, regression and smoke testsExperience in testing native iOS and Android appsAbility to diagnose complex problems on multiple platforms reliablyExperience with Agile testing methodologies and practicesStrong troubleshooting skills, and experience working closely with multiple teamsExperience using collaborative tools, bug/issue tracking systems (eg. Teamwork, JIRA).Preferred:Experience in IoT or Mobility domain is a plus, as is working with a range of mobile appsExperience testing mobile applications in a fast growing startup environmentExperience in technical writing, User Guides, Technical Content etc.Experience with deployment using CI tools (eg.
