Business Intelligence Analyst Telford

Our Client based in Telford is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team. This is a newly created role and will see you taking on responsibility for planning and researching solutions to complex problems.

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer you will develop and improve reporting tools, allowing users to efficiently access data in a way that meets business requirements. You'll be responsible for maintaining existing products and ETL processes as well as designing and creating new ones.

This role will see you:

*Managing the data warehouse and developing the OLAP data models

*Building high quality reports and deliver meaningful insights.

*Writing SQL queries for reporting and data extract purposes

*Build complex data models using SSAS and DAX/MDX

*Develop MI reports and dashboards to deliver insights and inform decision making

*Create and maintain ETL packages ensuring the right data is available for the end users

*Maintain and create tables, views and stored procedures using SQL Server

*Regularly meet with users and translate business requirements into technical specifications to deliver the right data in the right format

*Understand and translate requirements to the appropriate solution - be that SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, Excel or PowerBI.

To be an Business Intelligence Developer you will need:

*Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, e.g . T-SQL, MySQL.

*Knowledge of OLAP and data models e.g. MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Tabular or Multi-dimensional, PowerPivot, Power BI

*Knowledge of code versioning e.g. Git or Subversion

*Strong technical skills across multiple platforms including SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI, Report Builder
