Software Developers - Edinburgh I'm working with a software consultancy, headquartered in the UK, who operate as a software development partner for large enterprises requiring demanding software applications. They work from offices which are located in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Bristol and London and are currently going through a large recruitment drive. They are primarily working within the financial services, banking, retail and oil & gas industries but are constantly expanding, highlighted by their recent work with the leading public sector authorities such as DWP and HMRC. My client is looking for Software Developers who specialise In either Java, .Net or Front End. The right candidate will be a self-motivated and inspirational problem solver who wants to act as a technical lead on enterprise-scale software development projects. This is a technical role which will also involve mentoring and nurturing talent within the organisation through formal continuing professional development activities, as well as informal study groups. Be it writing code, managing client project or mentoring a colleague, you'll lead by example in everything you do. My client is working at the cutting edge of the FinTech movement. Some of the software they create processes billions in terms of transactional value per year and their banking software in particular is used by millions of people all over the world. So you will get the chance to work on such highly-visible software. This is a hands on, client-facing role, offering the opportunity to be involved in full development life cycle to create great-looking, intuitive and technically brilliant solutions in close collaboration with our clients UX Designers. Requirment's my client needs:A relevant university degreeYou must have strong commercial experience with enterprise-level systems.Good Technical design skills including, where appropriate, 00 design principles and design patterns.You must also have experience of the full software development lifecycle and agile/scrum methodology.The ability to adapt and learn new technologies on the jobExperience of leading teams and managing client projects It would be great if you also have:Knowledge of web services (REST, SOAP), WCF and API developmentExposure of the full software development cycleInvolvment in open source projectsExperience with HTML5 Development and Javascript If you are not experienced in all of the above, don't worry, I would still love to speak with you If you decide you want to proceed to a chat, then give me a shout.
