Javascript/React Contract - 6 months - Borehamwood

A Borehamwood based company are looking for a JavaScript/React contractor to start ASAP (ideal 7th May, could wait up to 2 weeks) for 6 months, paying £370-400 per day. Interviews are happening over Skype on Monday and Tuesday next week.

You will be building a Quote and Buy Journey and a Customer Portal.

You will be working in a team of 8, 4 of which will be JavaScript/React and PHP contractors.

Key skills/Responsibilities:

- Establish the DOM given a design

- Build the presentational features using responsive web techniques

- Build and animate front end functionality and logic using required libraries, languages and APIs

- Establish front end communication to provided API and web services end points

- All look and feel, styling and branding

- Work with designers and marketing to optimise design and presentational features

- Develop unit tests and testing procedures for front end

- Adding and updating SEO to front end presentation as required

- Support the teams through test, and fix any front end defects found during testing

- Proven web development experience using:

- NodeJS, Handlebars, Javascript, JQuery, es6, ReactJS, NPM and Webpack

- Javascript unit tests (Jasmine, Jest)

- DOM, AJAX, html5, css, scss and responsive web design

- Experience implementing accessibility

- API integration using REST

- Strong experience in building front end pages from designer artwork, wireframes and example html pages

- Experience in good SEO practice required

- GIT, Jira.
