The Opportunity
In this role as the Strategic Programme Lead (IT) you will play a critical role in transforming the way Plan International operates. Plan International is currently implementing and integrating new Enterprise, Resource Planning (ERP) and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Systems to enable it to become more data-driven and transparent in support of its Global Strategy.
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of this implementation, which will effectively direct, control, harmonise and integrate the programme's projects and manage their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the co-ordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realise projected benefits.
Your role is crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum and ensuring compliance with Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and Prince2 best practice methodologies
As well as be responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the ERP and M&E implementation. They will develop and maintain the programme environment to support each individual project within it, utilising resources within the programme management office.

Essential
Energised, proactive and can-do solutions focused
Good knowledge of programme and project management methods including qualifications in MSP and PRINCE2
Previous experience of overseeing ERP and other significant, complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects.
Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to earn respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
Sound business case development and approvals skills
Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties
Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
Sound understanding of technology
Able to define Critical SuccessFactors and Key Performance Indicators
Understanding of IT governance
Network builder
Abreast of IT Risks, policies and regulatory compliance
Proven experience of managing conflicting priorities and demands
Desirable
Experience of managing technical projects in a cultural and locational context similar to Plan International
Understanding of culture in not-for-profit organisations
Assertive able to hold stakeholders to account
Diplomatic, open minded, personable and friendly
