Technical Services Specialist - London - up to £55kpa

My client a leading international wholesale bank incorporated in the United Kingdom, who help companies trade internationally and to develop a presence in foreign countries, are currently looking for a Technical Services Specialist to support their IT infrastructure and IT Systems.

As the Technical Services Specialist, you will be performing the day to day activities of the IT department to facilitate the effective use of the Bank wide IT infrastructure. In accordance with the Bank's procedures, provide an excellent service to the Bank's clients by designing, developing, enhancing and maintaining the Bank's IT systems.

Role responsibilities
*Facilitating the Bank's effective use of IT services for efficient execution of the Bank's business needs in compliance with statutory, regulatory requirements and agreed service levels
*Ensure an excellent service to the Bank's clients by maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Bank's IT systems
*Providing both 2nd level support for the IT services to the Bank and organise 3rd level support with vendors when required; effectively log all issues and work items onto the service delivery log
*Carry out system analysis and testing as well as the designing, promoting and installation of new systems and enhancements; to provide support documentation and training on these systems
*Ensuring that all Bank applications and databases are working effectively whilst maintaining relationships with external service providers
*Provision of technical advice and guidance to both IT teams, helping the Bank to take advantage of new technology within established parameters and guidelines without unnecessary exposure to risk
*To be engaged and involved in project work as and when required

To be successful in the role you will have extensive experience with:
*Websphere Application Server / Websphere MQ
*Windows Server 2012r2 and above
*MS SQL Server 2014 and above

Bonus points if you have the following skills:
*Cisco ASA firewall management
*Citrix Netscaler load balancer
*Citrix Xenapp remote access
*Netapp Storage
*Vmware virtualisation tech
*T24
*HID Security Appliance
