Java Developer - Hammersmith - 6 Months

Tasks

You'll join a growing development team, as part of our Integration's squad. The integration squad works directly with price feeds - making them a key team in the success of our business! We are in a cloud first environment, you will be working on a low latency, high volume, ingestion processing platform utilising the latest technologies. You'll also collaborate across multiple teams collaborating in an agile environment to ensure the best products are created.

Day to day, you will be responsible for:Building maintainable, testable, resilient software systems including monitoring and operational impact throughout the processWorking with the latest cloud technologies with large data sets and challenging projects.Owning the end to end software delivery processWorking alongside Architects and Senior Developers to design the systemWorking as part of a team - mentoring developers and ensuring coding standards are met

The candidate should be proficient in working as part of a team, a self-starter who ideally (but not essentially) has a keen interest in sports and the betting industry.

You should have knowledge of the following technologies:

Essential:Minimum of 3 years' experience with either Java or ScalaExperience with working with NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra/Couchbase) and RDBMS data platforms (e.g.MySql, Big Table, Big Query, elasticsearch, Redis)Broadcasting, Betting , Gaming and Commercial backgroundExperience of working in a fast paced, team environmentStrong communication skills, ambition and a passion for techWorking with a mixture of RESTful and push APIs (JSON and XML)Testing Frameworks e.g. Junit/Mockito/SpockTest Driven Development advocate
