The Role:

As a senior network engineer you will be supporting the delivery of data communication and secure voice services. The role consists of BAU operational support, engineering activities and element of network design. You will provide support and maintenance for Network Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

* Supporting and maintaining network infrastructure by delivering backup & disaster recovery management, life cycle management, escalated on-call support.

* Providing 2nd and 3rd line support services to ensure the smooth delivery of incidents.

* Ensuring stable and secure WAN, LAN, VOIP telephony services.

* Proactively monitoring the network to ensure optimal network performance at all times.

* Giving technical support to project and development teams.

* Ensuring that data and voice infrastructure is managed and secured successfully.

* Communicating with problem and incident managers on problems that may arise.

* Covering on call or shift work when required.

Skills and Experience Required:

* Minimum of 3 years network engineering experience or within a similar role and knowledge of voice and data networking.

* Strong CISCO based skills, ASA firewalls, checkpoint firewalls, load balances.

* Cloud based knowledge

* CCNP level, ITILv3 Foundation or equivalent experience.

* LAN, WAN and routers protocols

* Netscalers (Desirable)

* Effective communication both written and verbal to team members and third party providers.

* Demonstrable management skills.

Benefits:

Starting salary of £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience plus a comprehensive company benefits package!
