Application Support Analyst | up to 40,000 | Birmingham

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a global IT consultancy who have a solid footprint in the UK and Global market.

As the Application Support Analyst, you will be required to work alongside the existing support team to deliver application support/installation services along with assisting the testing and development teams, so some exposure to testing or development environments is a requirement.

This role will suit someone with a broad range of Application Support experience as well as individuals who can work proactively and are keen to add value to their new team.

THE BASICS:

In this position youll be required to provide detailed analysis of system defects as and when required along with taking personal responsibility for resolution of support incidents in line with the SLA or OLAs.

Youll be required to identify and implement service improvements, understand and adhere to quality and security standards and processes along with managing your own workload and supporting others within your team when required. THE TECHNICAL STUFF:

Support Analysts with experience working within / supporting a Red Hat Linux environment as well as basic Oracle knowledge will be of great interest. So too will Analysts with working knowledge of Java along with past involvement with root cause analysis and problem investigating.

Individuals with experience working within an ITIL Environment will be of high interest to our client as will those who have experience using ITSM/Remedy. Application Support Analysts with the ability to manage and fulfil service requests, incidents, problems and changes will be sought after.

THE ADDITIONALS:

If you have previously implemented technical designs that work effectively and efficiently within overall system architecture, following the project standards then this could be the job for you. You will also be required to maximise the security, data integrity and performance of the supported application environments, whilst identifying, communicating and/or reducing risk where possible.

Were looking for Analysts who can be flexible to work out of hours occasionally for project work, and someone who is happy to travel to our clients offices throughout the UK or their client sites from time to time.
