Because turning it off and on again doesn't always work.
At HMGCC, we're constantly designing and delivering communication systems that protect the UK. It's a complex job, so ours is a world of custom one-offs, pioneering products and innovative ideas. And now, we're looking for natural problem solvers to join our Service Operation Centre (SOC) and support HM Government - both in the UK and abroad.
Our SOC department helps deliver enterprise grade applications and services for wider government. To keep up with ever-evolving demands, we're now updating existing technologies and replacing legacy applications. With this large modernisation programme taking place, it's an exciting time to join.
As our Change Manager, you'll bring your enthusiastic and motivated attitude to our Service Management team. In any other role, you'd deliver the usual CAB leadership, risk and impact assessment. But here, you'll also take concepts and drive them forward to ensure they succeed. This involvement will see you manage the implementation of change, and be a key player in ensuring our Government's communication systems are reliable and totally secure.
To join us as a Service Management professional, we'll expect you to have experience in these areas:
Change Management or Change Analyst experience.
ITIL Version 3 Foundation.
Experience managing Changes using a Call Management System.
Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Experience creating, documenting and revising policy, processes and procedures.
To join, you'll need to be proactive and forward-thinking. To really excel, you'll also:
Bring your initiative and ability to prioritise a variety of work in order to meet deadlines.
Have good written and verbal communication skills.
Have a high level of discretion and be used to handling sensitive data.
Enjoy working in a team.
Lead with a "can-do" attitude, even when you're faced with a challenging situation.
In return, we'll provide all the training you need to develop your skills. You'll also get a great rewards package that includes flexible hours and a welcoming workplace.
To apply to HMGCC you must be a born or naturalised British citizen, over 21 years old and primarily have lived in the UK for the last ten years. In addition, one of your parents must be a British citizen, or have substantial ties to the UK.
