Release & Deployment Engineer

Spring Technology is currently working in partnership with a market leading software solutions provider in Sheffield to recruit a number a Release & Deployment Engineer to join their highly successful and rapidly growing team.

The Role

*You will be part of a first class customer-facing service team delivering expert support and deployment solutions.

*The role will involve the investigation of challenging issues raised during customer user acceptance testing as well as deploying software releases and changes to customer environments, with a strong emphasis on customer service.

*You will have the opportunity to learn various products and contribute to the continual service improvements by building strong relationships across the business and customer base, making suggestions through experience, as well as having the opportunity to practice and develop your SQL and PowerShell skills by writing and deploying scripts to customer environments.

The Requirements

*You will be a natural problem-solver with a can-do attitude coupled with a passion for technology and delivering the absolute best levels of customer service.

You will also bring experience in some of the following areas:

*Software deployment and troubleshooting

*Able to demonstrate problem solving techniques for end to end resolution on technical issues

*Database management

*SQL

*Installation and administration of servers

*Basic understanding of web based technologies and server side architecture (IIS)

*Aware of application and infrastructure security standards

*PowerShell scripting

*Security clearance may be required as you may be working with sensitive data.
