Java Developer / Senior Software Engineer (Java microservices AWS GCP). Would you like to work on complex and challenging backend systems whilst enjoying perks such as flexible working and regular training, based in really cool riverside offices?

Technology focussed scale-up business is seeking a senior, hands-on Java Developer as they move toward s a microservices architecture. You will design and implement new products and help re-architect the flagship product to the cloud, a highly complex network discovery and infrastructure management tool used by large scale organisations to efficiently manage their IT set-up.

As a senior, hands-on Java Developer you will be responsible for the production of high quality, maintainable code; participating in code reviews and investigating live issues. You'll also provide technical leadership to a small, talented team with career progression opportunities.

You will be working in an informal and highly collaborative environment with a good work / life balance including flexi-time (core hours 1000 - 1630) and the option to work one day a week at home. Requirements:

*Strong core Java backend development experience

*Experience with large, highly available, scalable, distributed, enterprise scale software

*Good knowledge of Containers, microservices and cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform)

*Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns

*Good understanding of systems programming and algorithms

*Excellent communication skills
