Test Analyst

Test Analyst / Software Tester / Manual / Automation / Solihull / Permanent

My award winning and rapidly growing client is looking for a Test Analyst to join their IT team at their head office in Solihull.

The Test Analyst will be responsible for the planning, creation and execution of test scripts in line with the requirements, on a project by project basis. Ensuring that the test scripts generated are effective in covering the functional and non-functional requirements prior to production deployment. Raising any defects appropriately and updating the team in the form of test reports.

Key Responsibilities:

*Analysing and designing test scenarios which most effectively prove the requirements of the business

*Contribute to the development of user stories by translating user stories into highly specified test cases

*Prepare and execute the test scripts and report on their progress and raise defects for areas not functioning as designed

*Analyse the internal structure of the system in enough detail to meet the expected quality

*Evaluate the system in terms of non-functional attributes, e.g. performance and reliability

*Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction

*Develop system and regression tests that ensure the delivered solution will meet its agreed objectives and deadlines

*Contributing to projects in a range of different areas as required e.g. resolving design issues, analysing test feedback, QA

*Contribute to SAFe Agile ceremonies, PI Planning, Backlog refinement, Sprint Demo and Retrospectives. Also Test Script reviews

*Mentoring of less experienced team members

Key Skills and Experience required:

*Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with good attention to detail

*Highly self-motivated

*Ability to perform analysis and design for projects including impact analysis on existing systems for any proposed solutions

*Ability to effectively prioritise and work under pressure to deliver quality solutions

*Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills

*Ability and willingness to provide technical leadership

*SQL DB2, Outsystems, SharePoint, Visual Studio for Teams

*Selenium, Performance Testing with JMeter beneficial
