Front End Developer | London | 40,000 - 70,000

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently looking for Front-End Developers to join a leading Global IT company to sit within their Digital team.

You will be part of an exciting bespoke digital transformation project.

Front End Developer job role:

As a Front-End Developer, you will work initially on client site on a secure project, design, code and test simple high-level items downwards.

Youll need to understand web application server-side development and contribute back to end client and contribute to daily stand up meetings and work in Agile methodologies.

Front End Developer pre-requisites:

* Knowledge of BDD and/or TDD software development practices and processes

* HTML 5, SASS / CSS 3

* JavaScript incl. AJAX

* Experience with Node.js, Express.js and templating (Nunjucks or others) or with Angular.JS

* Gulp build system

* GIT

* Progressive Enhancement

* User-focused mindset

* Agile experience, hands on in a multi discipline team working in rapid iterations

* Use of open-source libraries

* A strong track record in front end web application development

Experience with JQuery, GDS frontend kit, GDS elements, TDD Test Driven Development experience desirable

Experience with virtualisation for developing, (i.e. Docker to run services, Vagrant to build dev VMs) is advantageous

Experience with Angular.JS, Bootstrap, Initializr, Modernizr also a benefit

As this is based on client side, commercial experience on customer site is highly beneficial.

Youll be a strong communicator, with a proactive approach to SDLC and Agile working, whilst being able to work under direction in a large project team with contributory approach to Daily Stand up.
