Are you a Power Electronics Engineer who is looking to step up into a Team Lead Position? Or a Hardware Team Lead looking to go into an exciting automotive industry specialising in Hybrid Electric Vehicles? I want to hear from you! I am looking for a Hardware Team Lead who has experience within Power Electronics to join a company based in Newcastle as part of an expansion of their current business.

You will be responsible for the Hardware Development focusing on the Power Electronics Projects for automotive Vehicle Electrification. You will also be working closely with a number of other teams such as Functional Safety, Software and Mechanical to ensure the highest quality of work is delivered. You will be working with safety critical projects within an ISO26262 Environment and therefore compliance is essential. Day to day your role will include speaking to both internal and external customers and ensuring the hardware team have full understand of customer requirement by leading and mentoring the team. You will also be responsible for recruitment and the development of the teams.

Core skills for this role include:-

- Leading, mentoring and developing your team of hardware engineers

- Creating, maintaining and applying strong processes to assure quality of hardware design and development

Hardware design. Ideally at least one of:

-Hardware Power electronics :- Motor inverters design and development, IGBT and MOSFETs and gate driver design

- Digital and Analogue electronics :- Microcontrollers, signal acquisition and conditioning, low power SMPS, logic circuits and similar.

- Experience in communicating with customers, senior management and project teams
