Site based 1st line engineer / Swindon/ 1 month contract/£120 per day

Spring Technology are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading ICT Services Clients who are seeking a Site based 1st Line Engineer experience to join their team

Key Responsibilities entailed in this role will be:

Essential FunctionsExperience:

* Responds to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically

* Diagnoses and resolves technical hardware and software issues

* Escalates unresolved problem/issues/requests to the proper tier 2 and 3 support team.

* Troubleshoots IT related problems of application software, PC's, laptops, and printers

* Strong knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* Experience with wireless network support, VPN, remote support

* Use of incident tracking and problem reporting tool

* Experience in hardware/software upgrades and troubleshooting

* Basic knowledge of Active Directory administration

* Ability to learn and support new applications

* Ability to read computer instructions / documentation and comprehend procedural directions

* Ability to install and configure new hardware including drivers, software, and peripherals

Basic Qualifications:

* Typically requires 1- 2 years relevant experience.

* Graduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

* Preferably MCP certified.
