Our client are an ambitious Oxford-based technology company who have successfully moved beyond the initial start-up phase and now have a series of award-winning products. The Senior Software Engineer will help to create cutting-edge digital tools to enable online research collaboration. The Senior Software Engineer will need to share our clients' passion for technology and ideally have some experience or knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As this is a role with some seniority, the Senior Software Engineer will also get to play a vital role in the development and progress of product roadmaps, contributing to the direct success of these products and taking ownership of development projects.

The Senior Software Engineer role is a full stack position that involves the following:

Expertise in two of the following languages: Go, C++, C#, Python, Ruby, Java

Agile development and Continuous Delivery

Working in hybridized cloud environment such as AWS or GCP

Write understandable, testable code, always thinking about maintainability.

Proven track record of learning new technologies.

Leading technical discussions, from low level to architecture, and can help drive technical decisions.

Containerization in a production environment with Kubernetes and Docker

Source control with Git
