Job Title: Java Developer

Location: London, UK

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience

An exciting new opportunity for you to develop, both professionally and personally. The company are seeking a strong Java programmer to work in-house on commercial sites and to play a key role in small skilled team creating new functionality and sites.

The role is ideal for graduates and above with strong Java skills who are keen to gain experience within the business and expand their web development skills to become a full stack developer. This role is also suitable for existing java developers with several years of experience who are looking to progress and improve their full-stack skills.

Role Requirements

* Have a Solid understanding of Java, having used it on previous projects.

* A good understanding of object orientated programming with experience.

* The ability to write SQL with some knowledge of databases.

* The ability to investigate on your own and assist other developers within the team, as well as working with others.

You will have a relevant education degree or equivalent experience.

You will be working with other members of the team such as Java developers, Front-end developers, DevOps engineers and graphics designers, extending our e-commerce sites hosted around the world. Other projects include extending database replication clusters, integrating with payment API's and setting up Amazon web services. The work is based around core technologies but uses other API's and services such as:

* e Java, Tomcat & JSPs

* e SQL

* e JavaScript libraries, HTMLS & CSS

You will need to be driven and keen to dig into issues when they occur, to research effective solutions and learn new technologies to fix problems. As you will be working in a team, good communications skills are essential, both written and verbal.
