We are recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer to join our existing team located in either the Warrington or Limerick office.

The Senior Software Engineer will effectively and efficiently perform the design and development of enhancements to our product suite, solving challenging technical problems using the best practices and standards for software development across the business.

Working within defined development processes and adhering to coding standards, you'll perform the technical software design and estimation for complex work packages. Keeping relevant technical knowledge up to date, you will work to agreed timescales, cost and quality standards and ensure that issues are removed and problems are resolved to ensure the success of the wider project.

You have:

Great programming skills in Java

An ability to write clean, simple performant code An understanding of web-services and SOA, ideally RESTful APIs

Experience of databases, data modelling and SQL

Experience working with Spring framework

Experience of refactoring techniques

Test Driven Development (TDD)

Automated Testing

First hand experience of Lean and Agile practices

Knowledge of Continuous Delivery techniques

Knowledge of Design Patterns

Software analysis and design knowledge/experience

Knowledge of Telecoms data

Knowledge of using SCM tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Troubleshooting skills

Comfortable working on large scale, complex systems

You may have:

Understanding of JavaScript frameworks such as Ember.js

Experience of distributed computing platforms such as Hazelcast

Experience of DB2 on Linux or IBMi

Experience of IBMi Operating Systems
