Client:

They are a software focused company who have a strong recruitment drive to help deliver some very unique projects globally.

Project:

They have won a very large greenfield with huge potential and will be integral to them winning more work in the future.

They want to rebuild their AWS platform integrating DevOps principles ensuring its fully scalable and secure. You will be joining a team of contractors to help deliver.

Key Skills:

* Experience as a Devops Engineer within AWS environments

* AWS Cloud with API Gateway, EMR, ECS, EKS, IAM

* Linux - Redhat, Centos

* Configuration Management (Ansible preferred)

* CI/CD - Building Pipelines for Infrastructure, Containers and Software Builds

* At least one scripting language, i.e. Bash, Perl, Python

* Be invested in the software side of the role not just a pure sys admin

Nice to have but not essential:

* Provisioning with Terraform or Cloudformation

* Redshift, Athena

* Any Kafka, Zookeeper, Etcd, Consul, Vault

* Container technologies, ie. Docker, Kubernetes Swarm, ECS, Helm

* Monitoring and Alerting with Nagios or ELK etc

* Knowledge of testing code and infrastructure, ie. inspec, serverspec

* AWS Security Best Practices

Rate: £550 - £600 a day

Location: Manchester city center

Length: 3 monthly rolling
