Senior Support Engineer

£30,000-£37,000 + benefits (28 days holiday with an increase over time, pension scheme, dedicated training and development programmes + more)

I am currently working with a rapidly growing IT Managed Services Provider who are looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis and to help support their exciting projects across multiple industries. This is the perfect position for a talented IT enthusiast experienced with existing experience in support services within a Microsoft environment. You will be working alongside IT Managers and existing Support Specialists supporting strategic objectives and providing support to a user base of up to 300.

My client is experiencing growth and investment and is looking for someone who is very keen to grow with a company in the long-term and to establish a career.

You will be assisting the existing support team and ensuring customers receive the highest level of services that my client are passionate about providing.

The main duties of the role will include:

* Major Incidents - Managing and recovering major incidents including system failure, ransomware infections and any issues which have a severe impact on our clients' business.

* Recurring Issues - Taking ownership of recurring or problem issues to investigate, diagnose and resolve or propose a solution to stop the issue re-occurring.

* Complex Issues - Issues requiring advanced knowledge or where requiring an extended time to complete, you will work with existing support staff to ensure the impact of these is minimal.

* Support Team - As a senior support engineer, you will be required to assist existing support staff where help is needed.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

* Strong experience Managing & Supporting multiple client sites within an SLA driven environment

* Proven experience being the last line of support for clients and employees within the business

* Strong experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server & Desktop operating systems, server and desktop applications and Microsoft Office 365

* Commercial experience supporting server and network hardware

* Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
