Platform DevOps Engineer, £50,000 - £80,000, Remote & Client Side (South London)

A leading consultation focusing on technology services and digital transformation who heavily invest in the tailored training and development of their employees are looking for a Platform DevOps Engineer to join their highly motivated and professional team in a remote and client side role.

You can expect to assist clients build and progress their digital services using the most up-to-date open source software, having a hands on approach to your work.

You will working on large scale on large scale, technically challenging projects for major Public Sector clients and will be continuously learning through modern learning environments and have the opportunity to attend and take part in conferences, tech meetups, gaining industry recognised certification and much more.

Experience which would happily welcomed!

* Commodity cloud providers such as AWS in a production system

* Continuous Integration systems (Hudson, Jenkins, Concourse, Drone, Bamboo

* Configuration Management tooling (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt)

* Testing, setup and configuration of monitoring / alerting tooling

It would advantageous to have experience in languages such as Ruby, Python, Go and Java within an existing, production codebase.

The role will place you within the Digital Platform Engineering Unit working across several Public Sector clients - primarily working with Open Source software, being engineers first and foremost, placing Software Engineering and a professional approach at the focus point of delivery. You will work with a set of technologies and ways of working that will define the industry alongside working with other top engineers, who are at the forefront of their technologies.

The position is s 60/40 split between being remotely based and client side, the role would suit anyone familiar with South London transport links or coming from Surrey.
