This small but rapidly expanding and busy IT support consultancy is seeking to recruit an adaptable and self-motivated person to be their first "client implant" employee.
Reporting both to management, who will provide an escalation point for the client's more complex issues and to the client's management, the role will require a flexible individual who can work both autonomously and as part of a team. It represents an opportunity to shape what will be a challenging and dynamic job.
There will also be the prospect, should time allow, to work for other clients.
Responsibilities:
- First & Second line support for Client's day to day IT support both remotely & onsite.
- Escalation of Third line support issues to management.
- Day to day monitoring & maintenance of various aspects of the Client's IT infrastructure health to include network, backup, database & website.
- Procurement, maintenance & upgrade of IT equip. both hardware & software for the Client as required.
- Managing asset, software & security compliance registers for Client.
- Continuing to monitor & adapt the role to ensure that the Client's needs are met within the framework of their support structure
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Experience in the use and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems (7-10 and Server 2012-2016)
- Experience in the use and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with PC and network hardware systems and the ability to effect standard hardware installations and repairs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory & Group Policy
- Understanding of Microsoft Exchange
- Understanding of Networking Topology especially VPNs
- Driving license
Annual Salary £28,000 to £31,000 with 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and Christmas.
Based primarily in their office in SE16 the role will focus on providing first and second line IT support for one of their major clients, who is a logistics, transportation and removals company.
This company has a complex IT infrastructure spread across multiple sites around the UK, ranging from Glasgow to the West Country. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will spend at least one day a week in the primary office in NW10, with potential frequent visits to their second major site in Swindon amongst other locations in all parts of the UK.
