DevOps Engineer | Birmingham | Up to 55,000

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a growing and talented IT company. Looking for an enthusiast and talented DevOps Engineer where youll join the DevOps team which will offer the opportunity to work on a large-scale cloud-hosted application.

DevOps Engineer job role:

As DevOps Engineer you will be involved in maintaining and developing cloud-based infrastructure services while making continued service improvements.

Youll have the opportunity to develop your skills in multiple challenging disciplines to work as part of a rapidly growing technical organisation.

You will work as part of a team on a large-scale application

Planning deployment of new / updated infrastructure components, System monitoring and day-to-day management

Working with technology and infrastructure vendors

Management of data synchronisation and backup processes

DevOps Engineer job pre-requisites:

You will have a strong Linux background, with shell scripting skills and will have experience supporting complex multi-tiered services.

BEng / MEng / BSc / MSc in relevant subject or equivalent experience.

Experience in Docker

In depth knowledge of cloud service management systems and APIs, especially AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, RDS / Aurora, Route 53

Experience in the following is an advantage:

Ubuntu Linux, Nginx / Apache, Memcache / Redis, PHP, DNS, Prometheus, OpenVPN, Puppet / Jenkins / Gitlab, MySQL, Docker / Virtual Box, Terraform / Packer, Beanstalk
